再過一個月，經典電影《電子世界爭霸戰》（Tron）將迎來上映 43 週年，但玩家們現在就可以搶先重返 Grid 世界了。遊戲 創：催化(Tron: Catalyst) 的試玩版已在 Steam 平台正式登場，搶在月底完整版發售前讓玩家們先行體驗。
根據 創：催化 的總監 Mike Bithell 表示，本次推出的試玩版內容涵蓋遊戲最初約一小時的流程。Mike Bithell 也特別提到，遊戲支援超寬螢幕顯示，這對《電子世界爭霸戰》這個系列來說，他認為是絕對必要的。

與 Bithell Games 先前推出的 創：身分(Tron: Identity) 相比，這次的 創：催化 轉變了遊戲類型。創：身分 本質上是一款互動式賽博龐克小說，而 創：催化 則改採斜向視角的動作遊戲。玩家將能在 Arq Grid 中對抗掌握權力的軍事派系「核心組織」（The Core），過程中可以使用你的「身份識別盤」（Identity Discs）與「光影機車」（Light Cycles）。
目前還不清楚 Tron 本人是否會出現在遊戲中，玩家將扮演一位名為 Exo 的新英雄。她肩負起傳承 Tron 衣缽的使命，保護 Grid 世界，並盡一切努力推翻核心組織。Exo 可以使用近戰招式迎敵，但她最靈活多變的武器依然是她的識別盤，攻守兩端都能派上用場。
創：催化 預計將於 6 月 17 日在 PC、Xbox Series X|S 和 PlayStation 5 平台正式發售。不過，它並非今年唯一與《電子世界爭霸戰》相關的媒體作品。系列的下一部電影 Tron: Ares 將於 10 月 10 日上映。去年，該片的主演 Jared Leto 也曾分享他在美國奧蘭多 Walt Disney World 首次體驗 Tron: Lightcycle 遊樂設施的經驗。
