Switch 2 在 US 的午夜首發大致順利，但有一群玩家拆開新主機時卻遇到了可怕的驚喜。似乎是某間 GameStop 分店在使用訂書機時太過用力了，因為玩家們回報，他們開箱 Switch 2 後發現全新、閃亮亮的螢幕上竟然出現了礙眼的穿孔。
根據 Reddit 論壇上的討論串（經由 Wario64 分享），有顧客前往位於 Staten Island 的 GameStop，購買 Switch 2 後，店員將收據釘在了盒子上。值得注意的是，Switch 2 的包裝盒紙板偏薄，而且 Switch 2 主機就正放在翻蓋下方，螢幕朝上，所以用訂書機快速釘下去導致螢幕受損也就不足為奇了。
